Great Britain Men: Team Suspension Lifted and November Window Confirmed

The British Basketball Federation (BBF) welcomes the announcement from FIBA confirming the lifting of the temporary suspension of the Great Britain Men’s National Team. As detailed in their statement on 8th November.
The BBF Board has worked diligently and collaboratively with FIBA and key domestic stakeholders throughout this process to reach a resolution and will continue to engage closely with FIBA to ensure we now build strong governance and stability across the sport.
The BBF acknowledges the rolling recognition agreement with the SLB and while the league remains under the purview of FIBA further governance work will be completed.
The Great Britain Men’s Team now looks ahead to hosting Lithuania on 27 November at the Copper Box Arena in London, an eagerly anticipated FIBA World Cup qualifier. The BBF will work in partnership with UK Sport, FIBA, GLL and the domestic basketball community to deliver what promises to be a fantastic showcase of British basketball on home soil.
