iPRO Announce Renewed Partnership with British Basketball Federation, Basketball Scotland and Basketball Wales
iPRO are pleased to announce their renewed partnership with the British Basketball Federation, Basketball Scotland, and Basketball Wales. Under the renewed partnership, iPRO will continue to hydrate representative teams with iPRO Sport Edition and provide branded hardware for accessible and efficient hydration during games.
Basketball is one of the most popular sports, but also the most demanding. Excellent hydration is essential as players lose large amounts of fluid due to the intense and fast-paced nature of the game. iPRO Sport Edition is a healthy isotonic drink formulated to hydrate at an optimal level. The gold-standard solution fuels performance with added electrolytes to prevent premature fatigue, loss of focus, and impaired muscle function.
Lucy Darrall, iPRO Global Partnerships Manager, said on the announcement:
“We’re delighted to renew this collaborative partnership with the British Basketball Federation, Basketball Scotland and Basketball Wales. It establishes our long-term commitment to the development of basketball and the growth of the sport in the UK. This summer, we saw 3×3 Basketball make its debut at the 2020 Summer Olympics and now it’s going to be a part of the 2022 Commonwealth Games. It’s an exciting time for this action-packed sport and we wish all of the teams the best of luck!”
Last month, Great Britain recorded a sensational opening win to their FIBA World Cup qualifying campaign beating Greece 78-69 at an applauding Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle. This win has demonstrated a strong comeback for the GB Men’s and Women’s team since the Covid break.
British Basketball Federation Chair, Antonio Minichielo, adds:
“We are delighted to be extending our agreement with IPRO as our Official Hydration Partner, it is key for our players to receive the very best in hydration products to ensure they can maximise their performances on the court”
Basketball Scotland recently announced Scotland will be hosting the 3×3 Basketball Commonwealth Games Qualifying Tournament in 2022. This fast-paced 3×3 format will make its shining debut at the Commonwealth Games, which is to be held in Birmingham next summer.
On the partnership Barry Lang, Head of Basketball at Basketball Scotland said:
“We are excited to renew our partnership with iPRO. Our relationship and promotion of the brand continues to grow in Scotland, and we look forward to working together in the coming seasons.”
Team Wales will also travel to Scotland in 2022 endeavouring to secure a place in the 3×3 Basketball Commonwealth Games Tournament. 3×3 basketball has seen a monumental rise in popularity, with tournaments happening throughout the UK – including Wales very own 3×3 Summer Tour where iPRO provided participants with healthy hydration.
Voluntary CEO at Basketball Wales, Gavin Williams, commented:
“Basketball Wales are extremely pleased to be renewing our partnership with iPRO. Our national teams benefit tremendously from this partnership supplying them with much needed quality hydration during national team competitions and training camps”
