Great Britain Women’s EuroBasket 2023 qualifiers to be shown live on the BBC
The BBC will show Great Britain Women’s basketball team’s journey to EuroBasket 2023 by broadcasting the home qualifying games, starting on Thursday, 11 November.
Drawn in Group G alongside Greece, Portugal and Estonia, Great Britain’s first action in the qualifying pool is against Greece, who are ranked 15th in the world, at the National Basketball Performance Centre on 11 November, from 7.20pm.
The game, which tips at 7.30pm, will be live across BBC iPlayer, Red Button and the BBC Sport website and app.
Great Britain will play their opponents home and away in three windows over the next 15 months. The ten group winners and the four best second-ranked teams will then qualify for the final tournament.
This is also the first step on the road to Paris 2024 Olympic qualification, as a top six finish at the 2023 EuroBasket finals qualifies you for the Olympic qualifying tournament.
Home fixtures against Estonia and Portugal will be played in February 2023 and will also be live across the BBC.
