GB Jerseys to be worn throughout 2020

Following on from the release of the new GB Jerseys ahead of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in January, GB Basketball can today confirm the jersey will now be worn by GB teams during all upcoming tournaments.

Now the GB 2020 jerseys, GB Men will be the next team to perform in the new look as they face Montenegro and Germany in February’s EuroBasket 2021 Qualifiers. GB’s six age-group teams will take to the court in the new design at the various FIBA youth tournaments across Europe throughout the summer months.

A spokesperson for GB Basketball reported widespread positive reaction to the new jerseys online:

“The new jerseys have been received incredibly well by supporters since they were launched late last month and it was fantastic to see GB Women looking the part on court during the Olympic Qualifiers. Given the popularity of the design and the importance of developing a consistent look for British Basketball across all teams, the decision has been taken to extend the life of the jersey, which will now be known as the 2020 GB Jersey.”

The new replica jerseys have also proven to be popular on GB Basketball’s online shop, following on from their release as pre-orders last week. With the jerseys are now set to represent all GB teams, men’s sizes have also been added to the online shop, which is available to view here.
