GB age-group teams praised for Euro efforts
British Basketball Federation chairman Maurice Watkins has sent a ‘well done’ message to the GB age-group teams.
GB’s male and female U16, U18 and U20 teams took part in their respective European Championships over the summer.
Watkins said: “I’d like to thank all of the players, coaches and staff for their efforts in bringing together the squads for the summer’s competitions.
“There were some fantastic performances and a great deal of hard work from all concerned.
“Well done and keep up the great work.”
Basketball England Talent Programme and Pathway Manager Charlie Ford said: “It has been a really productive summer of basketball for the GB age-groups teams.
“It took a big effort from everyone involved – coaches, players and administrators – and I’d like to thank everyone for their hard work.
“We had some really positive performances and great learning opportunities to build on.”

U16 girls – 6th (Division B)
U18 men – 8th (Division A)
U18 women – 19th (Division B)
U20 men – 8th (Division A)
U20 women – 4th (Division B)
