BBF Board confirms two Interim-Executive appointments; recruiting for further roles
The British Basketball Federation is delighted to confirm the appointment of two Interim-Executive Officers to take the Federation forward in the coming months.
The initial appointments were supported by UK Sport and FIBA. With steps having been taken to consolidate the BBF’s position for the first half of the new financial year, the Board agreed at its meeting last week that these positions will be extended for a further six months, having initially been made for a three-month period from February 2023.
We are also in the process of appointing a Performance Lead and will have more news about this in the near future.
The Interim Executive appointments:
Chief Operating Officer – Pam Bingley
Technical & International Relations Lead – Kieron Achara MBE
Continuing recent moves to put in place improved support and resource for all of our GB programmes to thrive and grow, the BBF is also excited to announce it is recruiting a full-time administrator, initially on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months, and three further non-executive board members.
Of the Interim Executive appointments, GB legend and former Men’s national team captain Kieron Achara MBE is a familiar face to GB fans. He will act as Technical and International Relations Lead for the BBF.
Pam Bingley steps into the role of Chief Operating Officer, having filled numerous high-profile roles in her career.
