U17 Men & Women head to Hungary for 3X3 Europe Cup Qualifier

6th August 2022

After a summer where 3×3 Basketball has taken centre stage, somewhat, across the country, with Great Britain’s Senior Men’s and Women’s teams competing in Romania earlier in the summer and GB stars representing England and Scotland at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, the British Basketball Federation are delighted to announce the two Under-17 teams competing in Szolnoki, Hungary, this weekend, in 3×3 Europe Cup qualifying action.

A quarter of Men’s players and Women’s players were nominated by their Home Nation Performance Leads to take part in the competition, and we’re pleased to confirm that the following players have been selected to compete:

U17 Men

Tyreese Perry-Huggins (ENG)
Jacob Marschall (ENG)
Raza Majid (SCO)
Jack Davies (WAL)

Team Leader: Azeb Smalley (WAL)

The U17 Men will go head-to-head with Germany and Ireland in the group phase of the Men’s competition.

U17 Women

Josephine Vourliotis (ENG)
Aoife Loftus (SCO)
Emma Bailey (WAL)
Rosie Porter (WAL)

Team Leader: Charlotte Redhead (ENG)

The U17 Women are in Group A and will challenge Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Austria for a place in the knockout stages.

We wish the players and staff all the best as they compete in the tournament. You can follow all the teams and the action live via this link.
