New mask partnership aims to keep players safe from COVID-19 during their forthcoming international games
GB Basketball are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Cambridge Mask Co, aimed at helping to keep players safe from COVID-19 during their forthcoming international games.
Founded in 2015, Cambridge Mask Co specialise in innovative technological developments with the mission of changing the way the world thinks about clean air. The relationship sees GB Basketball join companies including Deliveroo, British Airways and Aviva as one of Cambridge Mask Co’s official partners.
The new agreement will see GB Men’s squad – including all players and staff – supplied with two of Cambridge Mask Co’s Admiral PRO masks ahead of their trip to Pau for November’s EuroBasket Qualifiers. Designed to ensure maximum protection, the British Military Filtration Technology filters almost 100% of pollution, gases, bacteria and viruses.
Over the coming months the partnership between the organisations will continue to develop, with both the Men’s and Women’s squads set to receive bespoke GB Basketball branded masks ahead of the next international window in February 2021.
Speaking ahead of the deal’s announcement, Cambridge Mask Co’s Founder, Christopher Dobbing, shared the company’s pride at supporting the squads:
“As a British business, we are proud to be supporting GB Basketball’s athletes get the mask protection they need to train, play and win.”
Kevin Campbell-Karn, GB Men’s COVID Compliance Officer, is delighted with the support provided to GB’s travelling party by Cambridge Mask Co:
“For our trip I was keen to ensure the players and staff were well protected from COVID-19 in all situations, whilst also being mindful of the environmental impact of using multiple masks. The new partnership with Cambridge Mask Co is a great fit for us, providing a high level of protection through masks that are both comfortable and reusable.”
