Late changes to GB Women squad to face Poland
Head coach Chema Buceta has confirmed late changes to the Great Britain Women’s squad ahead of the EuroBasket Women Qualifier against Poland on November 14.
Chantel Charles has returned a positive Covid-19 test. The BA London Lions guard will be replaced for the trip to Istanbul by Leicester Riders’ Hannah Robb.
Long-serving point guard Georgia Jones has been withdrawn from the squad for health reasons.
Scot Robb joined the Riders in the summer having spent the previous four seasons in Edinburgh with Caledonia Pride.
The 22-year-old ended her time in there as the franchise’s all-time leading scorer. She has represented Scotland and GB for various age-group teams, most recently captaining GB’s U20s at the European Championships in Oradea two years ago.
A GB spokesperson said: “We wish Chantel a speedy recovery and hope to see her playing again soon.”
