GB U16 men finish 10th at European Championship
Great Britain’s Under-16 men finished 10th at the European Championship in Podgorica.
Coach James Vear’s team went down 83-60 to Ukraine in their final game of the tournament.
But with four wins under their belts – over Slovakia, Austria, Iceland and Portugal – they can be proud of their efforts.
Against Ukraine, Michael Belle led their scoring with 14 points, while Ifeoluwadara Adeyemi had 11 and Sultan Adewale 8 and 11 rebounds.
Ukraine took the first period 26-13 and GB had a better second quarter, with the half-time score 47-31 at half-time and 64-44 going into the fourth period.
