The upcoming fixture against Belarus will take place four days after GB face the same opposition in Minsk, with captain Dan Clark and his teammates hopeful the Newcastle crowd can help the team secure another important victory.
“We’ve had fantastic support at all of our games in Newcastle, securing some famous wins along the way against Germany and Greece, and we’re going to need the British Basketball community to get behind us again in February with a very important double-header against Belarus to prepare for!” he said.
“We’ve been in a great run of form over the last two-and-half years and had some brilliant wins. The support we’ve had at our home games has been vital to that success, and we’re excited to play in Newcastle again in front of what is always a brilliant crowd to help secure another important result for our World Cup qualifying campaign.

It is sure to be an entertaining game for the supporters in attendance on Tyneside, and those watching from home, as the Men’s side – on a fantastic run of form over the last two years – face off against a Belarus side climbing the FIBA world rankings.
