Coach Steutel names roster for final FIBA World Cup qualifier against Serbia
Great Britain Men’s National Team Head Coach Marc Steutel has his roster for Monday night’s final FIBA World Cup Qualifier against Serbia in Belgrade (7pm).
The National Team will conclude what has been a historic FIBA World Cup Qualifying campaign tomorrow night, where GB have reached the second qualifying phase for the first time in their history, but are unable to advance to the final tournament this summer in Japan and the Philippines.
The 11-man roster sees Kimbal Mackenzie earning his first-ever cap for GB, making it a quintet of senior team debuts in this window with Amin Adamu, Michael Belle, Noah Horchler and Jelani Watson-Gayle earning their first caps on Friday against Belgium.
Carl Wheatle will captain the side once again, with himself, Kyle Johnson and Ben Mockford bringing a wealth of experience to the roster.
The game will be available to watch live and for free with a ‘Plus’ account on FIBA’s streaming service, courtside1891.basketball.
