The British Basketball Federation (BBF) has announced the appointment of Grace Jacca and Safia Iman to its Board.
The additions help to strengthen the diversity of the board’s knowledge and experience.
Grace is a former Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for Basketball England, and has worked in HR recruitment and law enforcement, as well as undertaking numerous volunteering roles, including at the Olympics and Paralympics of 2012.
Grace is a champion of diversity, equality and inclusion.
Safia works on senior executive and management teams and has practiced as a barrister in regulation and related public law for around 10 years.
She brings a wealth of knowledge about having previously worked with a variety of teams and as a Director of Transformation.
Toni Minichiello, Interim Chair of the BBF, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Grace and Safia to our Board. Their knowledge and experience will be extremely useful in helping us meet the challenges that lie ahead for our sport – most notably, the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic, and as our GB senior teams continue to pursue qualification for the EuroBasket tournaments of 2021 and 2022.”
