Great Britain Basketball has signed an agreement for Macron to become the national teams’ kit supplier for the next four years.
The Italian manufacturer will provide playing, training and off-court wear for the senior and junior teams and staff.
GB will wear Macron kit for the first time at the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup qualifiers and Under-23 3×3 League of Nations later this month.
There will then be a design process for bespoke GB teamwear which will be debuted by the men’s and women’s senior teams in November 2021.
The GB Men will wear Macron at the EuroBasket 2022 Finals following their successful qualification campaign.
British Basketball Federation interim chair Toni Minichiello said:
“We are delighted to have long-term signed a deal to partner with Macron. They are an established manufacturer with high standards of design and functionality.
“It will be exciting to see our teams in action wearing the new kits and eventually be able to offer GB fans the opportunity to support the teams by wearing the official jerseys.”
Macron CEO Gianluca Pavanello said:
“The British Basketball Federation and their national teams are obtaining great results and we are delighted that the Macron brand will accompany the British teams in their next important international engagements.
“Macron will provide cutting-edge and high-performing pieces, with distinguishing technical design and great attention to detail.”
