Latinovic returns for second season with the Nix

2nd June 2019

Cheshire Phoenix have announced that Momcilo Latinovic will be returning for a second season with the Nix for the 2019-20 BBL Season.

The 6’6 shooting guard had a fantastic first season with the Nix and has put pen to paper after captaining the team to our best finish in three seasons.

Latinovic established himself as the league’s best shooter last season topping the list for 3pt% at 48% and making the most 3 pointers in the league with 90. Along with his shooting, Latinovic also contributed with 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and over 1 steal per game.

We are happy to announce that Momcilo Latinovic will be returning for a second season with the Nix for the 2019/20 @BBLofficial season.

Coach Ben Thomas commented: “It’s great that we’ve been able to keep Cilo here for a second season. He’s a great person and the type of character that we want representing us!

“Having a player like Cilo helps the team in so many ways. He really does demand the opposition’s attention and spaces for the floor for his team mates, he’s a great asset for the club.

“This marks our fourth returning player from last season, something that hasn’t been done for a long time. We as a club aim to have an even better season next year and I think this is proof of our ambitions.”

Latinovic added: “I’m happy to be back! I really enjoyed playing in front of the Nix fans last season. They really supported us and made us feel welcome!

“I’m glad there’s already a core of us coming back  from the team, it is going to be great to have some continuity and to build on last season. Let’s go Nix!”
