The Great Britain roster for the FIBA EuroBasket 2021 Qualifying game against Montenegro has been confirmed.
Acting head coach Marc Steutel, standing in for Nate Reinking, will lead the team in Podgorica on Friday, February 21 before they head to Newcastle for a sell-out showdown with the Germans at the Eagles Community Arena.
The initial 24-man group named last week has been cut to 12 and Steutel said: “I’m very happy with the squad.
“I think it’s a very talented group and reducing that initial 24-man squad to 14 and then 12 is not easy. We have a core of proven internationals from previous windows and a couple of fresh faces.
“It’s an exciting group with a huge amount of potential.”
Twelve players will suit up for each game. Friday’s in Montenegro tips at 18:00 GMT – the game against Germany on Monday starts at 20:00 GMT.
